Located in southeastern Michigan, Lenawee Christian School has become a highly visible landmark on the western edge of the city of Adrian (population 23,000). Sharing facilities with the Christian Family Centre, the building was constructed in the mid-1980s and houses nearly five acres under one roof. Newcomers to our school are immediately struck by our beautifully landscaped, 74-acre campus, which features soccer, baseball, and softball fields, a quarter-mile track, state-of the-art playgrounds, a sand volleyball court, a Frisbee golf course, walking trails, and several outdoor pavilions for school and family picnics.
LCS is ideally situated. Located on US-223, it is easily accessible from all directions. Our 600 students come not only from Lenawee County, but also from Hillsdale, Jackson, Washtenaw, and Monroe Counties, and even from northwest Ohio. Our community is home to two four-year colleges, Siena Heights University and Adrian College, and to a local center of Jackson Community College. All three of these institutions offer courses for college credit to students still in high school. For experiences in the natural sciences, our students often visit the Dahlem Nature Center, the Stubnitz Nature Center, and Michigan State University’s Hidden Lake Gardens. For a wider array of cultural and educational opportunities, Detroit and Toledo are easily within commuting distance.
