Ron Evans
Head of School
Ron began his time of leading the ministries of LCS and The Centre in November 2006. He is responsible for the vision and direction of the school and The Centre. Previous to assuming this role, Ron has been a missionary with Life Action Ministries, running both a retreat center for pastors as well as scheduling and preparing local churches for revival meetings. Ron has been the President of Prime Office Products, ASI Office Interiors and Senior Account Executive for Haworth, Inc. He has also taught math and economics at the high school level and various subjects at the collegiate level. Ron has coached a variety of sports at the high school and club level. He earned his bachelor of science degree from Luther College in economics and education and his masters of business administration from Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana. He has been a Bible teacher and preacher for most of his adult life. Ron and Jane have five biological children and many spiritual children who they have mentored. Ron is an elder at Ogden Community Church in Adrian.

Jim Brown
Secondary Principal
Jim has served at Lenawee Christian since 1985. He has been a teacher, a coach, Assistant Principal, Director of Admissions and currently holds the role of Secondary Principal. Prior to coming to LCS, Jim taught and coached in public and private schools in central Indiana. He earned his B.S. degree from Taylor University and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Eastern Michigan University. Jim and his wife Janet have four children (all LCS grads) and three grandchildren. The Brown’s have served in several leadership and ministry positions at Grace Point Evangelical Free Church in Adrian.

Noelle Martell
Elementary Principal
Noelle joined Lenawee Christian in 1990. She started as a permanent sub after teaching at a Christian school in Florida for three years. She taught classes in 6th through 10th grades in Bible and science. Noelle also has coached cheerleading, volleyball, basketball, and softball. For two years Noelle served as an Assistant Principal focusing in the middle grades, and she is now the Elementary Principal for grades PreK-6. She holds a BA in Elementary Education and an MA in Educational Leadership, both from Covenant College in Lookout Mtn., TN. Noelle is a member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Ann Arbor, MI. She has been a part of the children’s church and missions programs. Noelle lives in Adrian with her dog, Ellie.

Michael Crafts
Dean Of High School Students and Spiritual Formation
Michael started at Lenawee Christian in 1999. He is currently the Dean of Students and Spiritual Formation. In this role he handles discipline issues, organizes weekly chapels, annual student retreats, service opportunities, and fosters small mentoring groups. He also teaches Apologetics and Doctrine, Introduction to Ethics, Worldview and the Media, Missio Dei, and Mere Christianity. In addition, he serves as a member of the administration team and teaches professional development classes on-site for the faculty. Prior to LCS, Michael was the Associate Pastor of Student Ministries at East Evangelical Free Church in Wichita, Kansas. Michael has a Bachelor of Art's in Christian Education from Moody Bible Institute and a Master's in MInistry Leadership from Cornerstone University. He was ordained in 1995. He has also participated in a twelve month administrator internship program through the Association of Christian School International. Currently, he is a candidate in the Rackham Graduate School at the University of Michigan pursuing a Master of Arts in Public Administration – Educational Leadership on the Flint campus. He gathers with other believers at Grace Point Evangelical Free Church where he has previously served as an elder.

Patty Thomas
Guidance Counselor
Patty joined LCS in 2000. She teaches English 10, English 12, Life Calling, and serves as our guidance counselor. Prior to LCS, Patty taught junior high English in Nevada. Patty holds a B.A. in English from Siena Heights University, a Master of Arts in Educational Administration and Supervision from University of Phoenix, and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Spring Arbor University. She leads Mosaic, an afterschool group for eighth through twelfth grade girls, and is a featured speaker at the Becoming Conference. Patty and her husband, Matt, have one daughter, Avery. They attend Elem3nt Church.

Marshal Mattson
Dean of Junior High Students
Marshal has worked at LCS in varying administrative and teaching capacities since 1994. He currently serves as Dean of Jr High Students, testing coordinator and transportation supervisor. He received a bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University in chemistry and physics and a master's degree in school administration from Pensacola Christian College. He taught physics and science at Adrian High School from 1970-79; was head of school at Berean Baptist Academy from 1979-85; and has owned Quality Driver Training since 2005.

Cheri Smith
Athletic Director
Cheri has taught at LCS since 1989. Currently, she teaches junior high physical education, high school health, personal fitness, and sociology. as well as being the Athletic Director. In the past, Cheri was the junior varsity volleyball coach for 8 years and the head girls’ basketball coach for 20 years. Prior to coming to LCS, Cheri taught for nine years at Naples Christian Academy in Florida where she taught a variety of subjects, coached volleyball, basketball and softball, as well as served as the athletic director. Cheri received her B.A. in Physical Education from Calvin College and her Masters’ degree from Michigan State University. She is actively involved in her church, Knox Presbyterian Church in Ann Arbor.

Brooke Boone
Director, Little Cougars
Brooke joined Lenawee Christian Ministries in 2005 as an assistant preschool teacher at LCM’s Small Wonders. She was the director of the preschool/daycare for 3 years and merged with LCS in 2011 to become the director of the Little Cougars Pre-K, Preschool, and daycare. She holds a BA in Child Development and Elementary Education from Siena Heights University. She is in the process of starting her M.A. in Educational Leadership, also at Siena Heights. Brooke attends Ogden Church in Adrian.
