LCS Library

The spacious Lenawee Christian School media center strives to promote the mission of the school and provide a welcoming environment where students can locate information in a variety of formats to assist in their academic, spiritual, and recreational pursuits. LCS also maintains a professional library of books and videos for teachers and parents.

The library has almost 26,000 items including books, videos, books-on-tape, magazines, newspapers, and CD-ROMs. You can search the library catalog on four dedicated computer terminals by title, author, subject, keyword, series, or call number. There are 19 additional computers in the library e-lab for patron use. Be sure to ask any of the library staff to demonstrate the catalog or help you locate the information you want.

The Pre-K through fifth grade classes come to the library every week (sometimes twice a week) to gather around the story time circle or to work on special projects. Junior high and high school students come in individually to check out books and study or as a class with their teacher. Students in grades first through twelfth can check out materials.

The library supports the school curriculum and also encourages reading for the pure enjoyment of it. Books on a variety of genres and cultural backgrounds are available for all reading levels. New books are held temporarily in both the elementary and teen areas so patrons can see what has just come in. Suggestions for new titles are always welcome.
