Test Scores

Organizations and people tend to do what they measure.  We are no different at Lenawee Christian School.  Tracking and measuring academic performance is a key part of our school.  We compare ourselves against local, regional, and national benchmarks wherever we can in an effort to strive for continual improvement.

At the Elementary and Junior High level our academic progress is tracked student by student through our Measured Academic Performance testing or MAP.  Please see the separate web page on MAP for more information.

At the High School level, in addition to MAP we are able to measure our performance through standardized tests such as the Michigan Merit Exam (MME) for 11th grade students and the ACT.  We can also track academic awards such as the National Merit Scholars that are won by our students.

Please take a moment to review our test scores listed below.

Michigan Merit Exams (MME)

Michigan Merit Exams are given to all 11th grade students in the state of Michigan.  In 2010, LCS was #1 in all academic categories except for Science where we were #2 in the county.  Click on the graphics below to see how LCS compared to other Lenawee County schools.

 ACT Scores

Over the last 5 years, LCS students on average have scored more than 10% higher on the ACT than state schools.  We have consistently topped other schools in Lenawee County.  All LCS juniors are required to take an ACT preparation course as part of their course load.
