Enrollment Process

Here is how enrollment works at LCS! At any time you may contact our admissions team at 517.265.7590 extension 2202 or email us at admissions@lenawee.org, with questions or to check on the status of your application or enrollment. We will do everything we can to move through this process quickly.

1) Apply for admission.

LCS is committed to making Christian education available to all children whose parents or guardians desire it for them, without discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, national or ethical origin, or financial status. Please review the Expectations for Parents and Students linked below prior to applying to LCS. The LCS Application is linked below. Please complete entire on-line application and submit it to start the process.  

Your application must be accompanied by a nonrefundable application fee of $50. (international students it is $150)

 

2) Interview with an LCS Administrator

Following your application submittal, you will be contacted by our admissions team to set up an interview with one of our principals or administrators, depending on the age(s) of your children. Both parents (if applicable) and student(s) are required to attend the interview. Please bring the student's birth certificate, previous standardized test scores, and most recent report card to the meeting.
 

3) Student testing

We want every child to be successful at LCS. After your interview is complete, a test time will be set up through our admissions team. Testing allows us to make sure we have the right fit and placement for the student. It also gives our faculty a head start on teaching your child if they know their strengths and weaknesses.   

4) Acceptance call & letter

After steps 1-3 are completed, you will receive a timely notification on the acceptance of your child to LCS. This will include a phone call and also a letter indicating either your acceptance or reason for denial. 

5) Enroll your child.  Go to RenWeb to begin the re-enrollment or enrollment process.

After formal acceptance, you will receive a login and password to begin the enrollment process in RenWeb. This is a paperless process. If you are without Internet, please come to the Central Office and we will assist you. For new families, you will be asked to create an account in RenWeb. For current families, please use your RenWeb login and begin the process. Most of the required information on current LCS students will be preloaded and you will be asked to review and make necessary changes.

Enrollment opens on March 1, 2012.  We encourage you to enroll as early as possible since it impacts our ability to plan and budget for the coming year. As an incentive, those families enrolling early receive lower enrollment fees for the year. Each month enrollment fees will increase by $50. See the Tuition & Fees page for a full breakdown.  

6) Fill out Financial Aid Application. 

More than 70% of our families receive Financial Aid or Discounts. All Financial Aid applications must be submitted within the first two weeks of a trimester or families must wait until the next trimester for it to take effect. PLEASE NOTE that Financial Aid funds are not unlimited and they are allocated on a first come, first served basis. We encourage families to apply as early as possible this year to insure funds are reserved. Once you have your tax returns completed, you will have all the information required for the application.
