Tuition & Fees

We understand the what is required to send your children to a private, Christian school and we take that responsibility seriously. Our team diligently works to keep the cost of private education affordable while striving to be one of the best private, Christian academic institutions in the country.

Aggressive financial aid and discount packages are available to assist families who are trying to find a way to make an LCS education a reality. You're not alone! Over 60% of our students qualify for financial aid or discounts. This equates to nearly $1,000,000 of aid or discounts distributed each year, with the average student receiving 30% off tuition. People generally think private education is only for the wealthy, but at LCS we defy that stereotype. Fifty percent of our families have a total family income below $60,000 per year.

Sending your child to LCS is a guaranteed investment in their future. Over 95% of our graduates attend college, many with unique scholarships opportunities provided through our college partners. More than 1,000 of our alumni are spread across the globe, living a life of influence as doctors, missionaries, pastors, business owners, teachers, leaders in education, and more. Contact our admissions team and schedule a tour of our campus. Make sure to ask about the stories of how our alumni are making a difference in the world around us.

Tuition rates are approved by the Lenawee Christian School Board in January for the following school year. Tuition rates vary for Little Cougars, Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary, Junior High, and High School. This corresponds with the expansion of academic and co-curricular opportunities at each level.

Annual increases in tuition are closely tied to our operating cost projections which are heavily influenced by utility costs, cost of living adjustments, and health care costs. In most years, parents should expect tuition to increase close to the rate of inflation.

Lenawee Christian School ranks as one of the most affordable private, Christian school options in America for a comparable education. Our listed tuition rates are often 10% to 20% less than other institutions, and we have broader financial aid and discount opportunities. One third of LCS families
qualify for financial aid and a much higher percentage qualify for one or more discounts. The average family at LCS receives approximately a 30% reduction on tuition.

Note: In order to keep general tuition rates as low as possible, tuition is not all inclusive. Please see “Fees” for a listing of other services and activities and their associated prices. Many expanded educational services, such as NILD, are eligible for financial aid.

** Our Kindergarten curriculum is intended to be full-time and we strongly recommend families to choose that option to give their students the greatest chance for success in this foundational year. Families seeking a 1/2 option will be put on a waiting list and given that option if capacity is available at the start of school.

ENROLLMENT FEES

Enrollment fees cover the up-front expenses required to operate the school (text books, consumable items, etc…) as well as give us an accurate view of the upcoming year’s enrollment to aid in our financial planning. Enrollment fees can be paid in advance at the Central Office or rolled into your tuition payment plan.
