Weekly Student Chapels

We have three chapels scheduled each week that complement the students' course work. They are prayerfully constructed.  LCS chapels are designed to give the students the opportunity to pray, worship, and learn aspects of biblical truth in a group setting through services geared to their age levels.  Three separate chapels are held each week; one for Pre-K to 4th grade, one for 5th through 8th grade, and one for 9th through 12th grade.

Parents and family are always welcome in chapels.  They can sit with their children or sit in extra seats.  We welcome every opportunity to worship together.  Once per quarter we hold a special Family Chapel as well where the entire student body and families come together to worship.  Make sure you check out the school schedule so you can attend the next one!

PK - 4th GRADE CHAPEL

Music is led by our faculty and includes many praise songs, often with interactive movements that reinforce the principles. Topics vary and are age appropriate.  We use interactive media and video along with special guest speakers ranging from local pastors to missionaries to illusionists to nutritionists to artists to high energy musical acts.  Through the year, our classes also take turns leading the chapel content for their classmates through skits and songs.  It is amazing to see the talent of our children at such a young age!

5th - 8th GRADE CHAPEL

Our middle school chapels are prayerfully structured to aid each child during this transition from adult-child dependence to an independence characterized by maturity and humility. This begins with fostering a love for God and for others as they choose to own their faith. Students will experience worship led by spiritually sensitive high school students and challenges from the Scriptures by local pastors and regional/national speakers.  Four times per year the students will assume the leadership of the chapel program as each class organizes and presents their own chapel program.  This allows students to exercise their gifts and learn valuable leadership lessons.

9th - 12th GRADE CHAPEL

Life is not meant to be lived in isolation; but rather God has created us to live in community. Within community God speaks as people listen and respond. A gathering of students pursuing Christ together in our high school chapels can experience life, forgiveness, and transformation. If one looks within the community that gathers, you will see students who have risen to serve their peers as leaders and prayer warriors. Student chaplains lead by organizing class chapels as well as times of intercession in the prayer room under the direction of faculty mentors. An invitation to engage God through worship will be extended by the students who serve on our worship team as lead-worshippers. The mind and emotions will be drawn to the Creator as students use their theatrical and musical gifts in dynamic and thought-provoking performances. And the Scriptures will be open and expounded by local, regional and national guest speakers as well as the student themselves. Also, mentors will relationally walk with students helping them to apply the truths experienced in chapel and the classroom as they meet in Power Plus small groups each month and regularly scheduled service projects.

 LCS Family Chapel

Family Chapels are a special time.  Several times a year, the entire student body, faculty, administration, and parents come together to worship Jesus Christ as a group.  Below is an example of a recent family chapel led by members of our faculty and ministry.
