Lenawee Christian High School students will soon move into action to raise funds for Destiny Rescue, an organization dedicated to rescuing sexually exploited and enslaved children, restoring the abused, protecting the vulnerable, empowering the poor and becoming a voice for the voiceless. As part of our school’s global mission project this year, we would like to raise $6,000, which is enough to rescue four children and place them in one of Destiny Rescue’s safe and nurturing homes across the world. Below are a list of upcoming events planned where you can get involved in this important effort.
Move Your Feet – April 26 – May 20
Students! Create your own fundraising page and then post it on your social media feeds. To setup your personal site, visit https://go.destinyrescue.org/LCS2017.
Donations from the student’s friends and neighbors will go straight to Destiny Rescue through the student’s fundraising page. We welcome donations from friends, relatives and neighbors using cash or check as well.
Raising awareness is important! Human Trafficking shareables are available here to post on Facebook or Instagram to raise the awareness of the problem. Would you consider posting one of the Destiny Rescue graphics to help spread the word?
Move Your Feet t-shirts go on sale starting April 26, and will be available to purchase before and after school for $10. The proceeds from the sale of the shirts will help us reach (and hopefully exceed) our goal. All LCS students and their parents are welcome to purchase a shirt, although most shirts are adult sizes. If demand exceeds our supply, we will order more!

One last word from Peterson: “Our world is splendidly filled with glorious things and a glorious gospel but appallingly diminished in persons who celebrate them with passion and share them with compassion.” Our prayer is that our Lenawee Christian School community will celebrate with passion and share with compassion all the good things God has given us. Enslaved children have been deprived of their God-given destiny. We can’t save the world, but we can help rescue a few.
