1) Apply for Admission
LCS is committed to making Christian education available to all children whose parents or guardians desire it for them, without discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, national or ethical origin, or financial status. To apply to attend LCS, please complete the on-line application and submit it before your scheduled interview or, for existing LCS families, before enrolling additional children. If you need assistance with any of these steps, please contact our admissions team at 517-438-8820. We are willing to walk you through these steps in person or over the phone.
For new families:
- Visit the LCS Online Application
- Create a new account
- Choose the grade appropriate application (Elementary Application for newborn through 5th grade and Secondary Application for 6th through 12th grade)
- If you are enrolling more than one child, please only use “Application for Additional Child” for second child and on.

Note: To complete the application process, a nonrefundable application fee of $50 will be charged for domestic students and $150 for international students.
2) Interviewing & Testing
Following your application submittal, you will be contacted by our admissions team to schedule a testing and interviewing time with one of our principals or administrators, depending on the age(s) of your children. Both parents (if applicable) and student(s) are required to attend the interview. Please submit the following items via email or fax at least 24-hours prior to your scheduled interview:
- A copy of student’s birth certificate
- A copy of your child’s immunization record
- A copy of most recent report card and/or transcripts
- Previous standardized test scores (if applicable)
Our testing process involves two standardized assessments; one in math and one in reading. We want every child to be successful at LCS. These tests allow us to make sure we have the right fit and placement for the student. It also gives our faculty a head start on teaching your child, as the tests provide valuable insights in regard to their strengths and weaknesses.
3) Acceptance Notification
After steps 1-3 are completed, you will receive a timely notification regarding the acceptance of your child to LCS.
