years of God’s
faithfulness at LCS
September 6, 1977
Lenawee Christian School opened its doors for the very first day of school at Trenton Hills. With just 17 students and Elmer Rupp serving as principal, a vision for Christian education in our community began.
What started as a small school has grown into a lasting legacy - shaping generations of students through Christ-centered education, meaningful relationships, and a commitment to serving others.

Some of the traditions that make Lenawee Christian special began during the school's early years. On October 10, 1986, LCS held its first Homecoming and welcomed its first cheerleaders during a soccer game.
From those early celebrations to today's Homecoming traditions, Cougar spirit has continued to grow - connecting students, families, alumni, and friends across generations.
For nearly five decades, God has faithfully blessed Lenawee Christian School and the students, families, faculty, and staff who have been part of its story.
Since that first day in 1977, LCS has celebrated:
More than 4,500 chapel services, creating opportunities for generations of students to worship, learn, and grow in their faith.
More than 1.2 million lunches served, fueling students for learning, friendship, and countless memories around the lunch table.
1,708 graduates, each carrying the lessons and values of LCS into their next chapter.
