Dr. Kristy Taylor
Executive Director - Interim Head of School
Dr. Kristy Taylor brings more than 25 years of experience in education and executive leadership, including roles as an assistant superintendent, high school principal, and most recently, Vice President of Talent and Training for a growing business incubator. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership with a minor in Human Resources, and she has consistently demonstrated her ability to lead with compassion, data-informed strategy, and a commitment to servant leadership.
Dr. Taylor’s background includes oversight of large-scale school improvement initiatives, facilities planning, human resources, curriculum development, and strategic financial management. She has also served on several boards, taught at both the high school and collegiate levels, and has deep personal roots in Christian education.
Mekeisha Black
Director of Advancement and Enrollment
Mekeisha studied Social Work at Eastern Michigan University and later pursued nonprofit leadership certifications through the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business. She has a heart for nonprofit work, fundraising, relationship building, and event planning, and is passionate about using her gifts to help build the Kingdom of Christ.
Outside of work, Mekeisha enjoys spending time with her family, embracing the joys of motherhood, trying out new pizza spots, and life on the family farm.
Craig Anderson
Interim Secondary Principal
Craig Anderson has been a part of LCS for the past 23 years, serving throughout The Christian Family Centre, Lenawee Christian Ministries, and longest standing as the Lenawee Christian School Athletic Director. While he performs the duties of Interim Secondary Principal, Craig will continue his diligent work as Athletic Director.
Amy Sanford
Elementary Principal
Amy Sanford serves as the Elementary Principal at Lenawee Christian School, where her love for Christ, students, and lifelong learning shapes her leadership. Her faith in Jesus Christ guides both her personal life and her commitment to education, with a strong focus on fostering curiosity, joy, and a love of learning in every student and educator.
Amy has been an educator since 2002 and holds a Master’s in Education from Spring Arbor University. She earned her Administration Certificate in 2023 and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Eastern Michigan University.
Outside of school, Amy enjoys time outdoors with her family, including caring for their hobby farm. She and her husband, Blaine, have two sons, Wyatt and Gabe, and together they own Clinton Trail Animal Hospital in Jackson. Amy is passionate about encouraging others to grow, pursue lifelong learning, and strive for excellence rooted in Christ.
