Welcome to Lenawee Christian School’s Volunteer Hub!

At Lenawee Christian School, we are committed to walking alongside families in providing an exceptional, Christ-centered education. One of the ways we do this is through our financial aid program, which often provides thousands of dollars in annual savings for families. While we are grateful to be able to offer this level of support, it also requires wise stewardship and active community engagement to sustain the excellence of our campus and programs.

That’s where the Volunteer Service Program (VSP) comes in.

The VSP strengthens the partnership between LCS and the families who benefit from financial assistance, encouraging a spirit of service while helping our community flourish.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering at LCS is about building relationships, creating meaningful experiences, and helping foster a positive school culture. Your involvement provides a safe, nurturing environment where every student can thrive. While the VSP specifically supports our financial aid families, we warmly welcome all LCS families to get involved—regardless of whether you’re required to serve. Your time, talents, and presence make a meaningful impact, and we are incredibly grateful for every parent, grandparent, and guardian who volunteers throughout the year.

Whether you’re helping at an event, supporting a classroom, cheering from the sidelines, or greeting guests at a performance, your service strengthens the heart of our school and reflects the hands and feet of Christ.

Who Participates in VSP?

  • Any family receiving tuition assistance (including financial aid, discounts, or scholarship) is required to complete VSP hours each academic year.

How Does the VSP Work?

  • Families are expected to volunteer 20 hours per enrolled student, with a maximum of 40 hours per family/per year.

  • Families hosting international students automatically fulfill their VSP requirement.

  • Families may donate volunteer hours to other families, up to 50% of another family's annual requirement.

  • Incomplete hours will result in ineligibility for financial aid in the following school year.

Get Involved

To ensure the safety and well-being of our students, please complete the following steps:

1. Complete Volunteer Interest and Information Form

Submit a Volunteer Interest and Information Form expressing your interest in volunteering at LCS. Click here: https://tinyurl.com/LCSvolunteerNow

2. Login and Register your Final Forms Account

As a first-time user, an email to access your Final Forms Account will be sent to you following the submittal of your Volunteer Interest and Information Form. This email will permit you to finalize the setup of a “Staff’ Final Forms account – this type of account is necessary for volunteering at LCS. Once your account is created or if you already have an account, you may move to Step 3.

3. Review Required Materials
Within your Final Forms Account - watch the Child Safety Video and read the Risk Management Plan – Child Abuse and Other Misconduct. (Final Forms Account must be created prior to this.)

4. If Necessary, Submit Background Check Application

·        Protect My Ministries background checks should be completed by:

      1. First Time Volunteers

      2. Individuals whose Background Check has expired

> If you’re unsure of the status of your background check, contact Kara McClellan – kmcclellan@lenawee org to confirm its status.

·        Upon completion of the above steps and clearance of your background check, your status will be updated within your Final Forms account allowing you to pursue volunteer opportunities.

·        Please note: Even if you are not required to submit a Protect My Ministries background check, Lenawee Christian School will administer an iChat background check prior to you receiving volunteer clearance.

5. Volunteer Opportunities
To sign up for volunteer opportunities visit the https://www.lenawee.org/vsp-opportunities. Eligibility to participate in volunteer opportunities is dependent on Final Forms completion and clearance.

6. Logging Volunteer Hours

Each individual family will be responsible for logging their hours within their FACTS Family Portal. This includes hours worked by a family member on behalf of the family. These records will be based on the honor system. Any falsification of served hours will result in termination from the VSP program, making you ineligible for future financial assistance. Please find a Step by Step Guide here.

Volunteer opportunities are available year-round, and we’d love to help you find the right fit for your interests and availability. For questions or additional information, please reach out to us at vsp@lenawee.org.

Thank you for partnering with us in service and stewardship as we prepare students to impact the world for Jesus Christ!
