Position: Swim Instructor

Classification:  Part-time hourly

Reports to:  Operations Director 

About Us:

Lenawee Christian Ministries provides a Christ-centered education, spiritual development, and wellness services to the Lenawee County community, centered around Jesus Christ. 

 

Position Summary:

Teach children the fundamentals of swimming through stroke competency and create trusting and meaningful relationships with the kids in your class

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe venue for children to learn swimming skills

  • Develop a relationship with the children in your class

  • Engage students for an entire 30-minute class

  • Teach children level specific swimming skills

  • Have open communication with parents and update them on their child’s progress through the lesson. 

  • Complete report cards for each student

 

Qualifications:

·         Christian Faith:

·         Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

·         Adherence to Christian principles and values in both personal and professional life.

·         Educational Background/Experience:

·         Working knowledge of all swimming strokes

·         Competitive swimming  background is preferred

·         A love and desire to work with children.

·         CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED

·         Lifeguard Training and First Aid
