Position Summary:
Lenawee Christian School is seeking a dedicated and passionate K-12 Art Teacher to join our academic team. The K-12 Art Teacher will play a crucial role in shaping the spiritual and intellectual development of our students. As a key member of our faculty, the successful candidate will inspire students to grow in their faith, understanding of biblical principles, and critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching:
Conduct engaging and comprehensive art classes while integrating biblical principles and lessons.
Develop and implement effective lesson plans, incorporating diverse teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and skill development in the visual arts.
Develop an art curriculum that integrates Christian values, principles, and themes into artistic projects and activities.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages spiritual growth.
Provide constructive feedback to students and collaborate with parents on student progress.
Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Uphold and model Christian values in all interactions with students, staff, and parents.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and integrated educational experience for

Use communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey biblical concepts and teachings.
Contribute to the school's overall mission and participate in extracurricular activities.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in art or related major.
Valid teaching certification from an accredited institution preferred.
Experience:
Proven experience in teaching art.
Demonstrated commitment to integrating faith into the curriculum and fostering spiritual growth in students.
Christian Faith:
Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Adherence to Christian principles and values in both personal and professional life.
