Position Summary:

Lenawee Christian School is seeking a Christ-centered, enthusiastic, and dedicated Middle School Math Teacher to join our academic team. This educator will teach math to students in grades 6–8, fostering a deep understanding of mathematical concepts while integrating biblical principles into the classroom. The ideal candidate is passionate about Christian education, loves working with middle school students, and is committed to academic excellence and spiritual development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Teach middle school mathematics courses (e.g., Math 6, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I), aligned with LCS curriculum and Michigan academic standards.

·         Create lesson plans that integrate a Christian worldview and encourage students to see God's order and design in mathematics.

·         Differentiate instruction to meet a variety of learning needs and abilities.

·          Maintain a classroom culture of respect, engagement, and growth.

·          Assess and evaluate student progress using formal and informal methods.

·         Communicate regularly with parents regarding student academic and spiritual growth.

·         Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support student learning and school initiatives.

·         Participate actively in school life, including chapel, staff devotions, extracurricular events, and professional development.

 

Qualifications:

·         Christian Faith:

·         Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

·         Adherence to Christian principles and values in both personal and professional life.

·         Educational Background/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or Mathematics (or related field)

  • Valid Michigan teaching certification or eligibility

  • A personal and active faith in Jesus Christ and agreement with the LCS Statement of Faith

  • A calling to Christian education and a heart for middle school students

Preferred:

  • Teaching experience at the middle school level

  • Experience in integrating biblical worldview into classroom instruction
