ABOUT US:
Lenawee Christian Ministries provides a Christ-centered education, spiritual development, and wellness services to the Lenawee County community, centered around Jesus Christ.
SUMMARY:
The Director of Admissions is responsible for maintaining a positive image of LCS in the community and with prospective parents to maximize LCS enrollment. In conjunction with administration, the Director of Admissions leads, manages, and evaluates the student admissions process from inquiry through enrollment. This position is key in fulfilling the school’s mission of attracting, enrolling, and helping retain appropriate students both domestic and international.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Measure activities for their effectiveness and continually improve our strategies for reaching area residents with our value proposition.
Ensure that the admissions department is tracking prospective new students and follow up on in a professional and personal manner making sure they have all the information to aid their decision process in a timely manner.
Schedule all tours, shadow days, testing, interviewing, etc…
Generate weekly and monthly reports showing the level of new student inquiries (with names and next steps) and enrollment counts/status (across all grades).
Create strategies and communication tools aimed at student/family retention.
Respond to all new student inquiries with the goal of cultivating relationships of all mission appropriate families.
Manage the admissions process from first inquiry to assimilation.
Work in conjunction with the Financial Department to assist families with financial aid, scholarship applications, discounts, and cost savings programs.
Collaborate with the Secondary Student Services Dept. and Principal to assist incoming students with class offerings and graduation credit requirements.
Schedule scholarship auditions, collect and process scholarship applications, and send scholarship awards.
Work In conjunction with the Transportation department and LCS families to assist, coordinate, and resolve transportation needs.
Work In conjunction with the Athletic Dept. to assist student-athlete’s families with MHSAA eligibility requirements and coordination of programs.
Train and oversee the LCS Ambassador team, Connector Moms, and FAN programs.
Maintain appropriate admission data and evaluate to monitor effectiveness of the admissions process.
Establish recruitment strategies to draw and keep mission-appropriate families.
Work together with Marketing staff to develop marketing tools, event advertisement campaigns, etc. to catch the attention of mission appropriate families.
Work with principals to schedule interviews for prospective families.
Encourage existing families to spread the good news of LCS and gain referrals.
Provide tours of campus – both individual and group.
Design/produce mailings and correspondence pertinent to the admissions process.
Educate and enlist faculty and staff to assist where needed in the admission process.
Establish, maintain, and evaluate appropriate systems to facilitate family visits, student testing, and interviewing.
Work with administration and instructional support team to develop and evaluate screening process for academic readiness and mission appropriateness for admissions.
Work In conjunction with administrative and development staff, develop tools and programs to assist in new student assimilation.
Update and maintain SEVIS records for F-1 International Visa students including generating and revising I-20s and continuing DSO status responsibilities, as well as transferring.
Conduct follow up surveys for new admissions and exiting families.
Work with strategic partners with enrollment and marketing campaigns.
Plan and organize special events.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Educational Background/Experience:
· An experienced leader able to manage multiple projects, analyze data, lead people, develop repeatable processes, collaborate with the marketing department, coordinate events, conduct surveys, and meet/exceed defined objectives.
· A team player and leader that recognizes and values the gifts in individual people and is able to deal with conflict in a healthy and God honoring way.
· A strong written and verbal communicator to families, employees, peers, and management. This will include the ability to speak to large audiences or media on behalf of the school and enthusiastically convey the mission, vision, and beliefs of the school.
· Ability to navigate in different student information and data programs.
· A strategic planner to develop and execute long-term calendars and plans.
· An entrepreneur thinker to seek new areas of enrollment and increase levels of inquiries, applications, and enrollment.
· Lead and execute with a high-level of excellence event planning.
