Lenawee Christian Ministries provides a Christ-centered education, spiritual development, and wellness services to the Lenawee County community, centered around Jesus Christ. 

Position Summary:

The Secondary Principal is a critical leader at Lenawee Christian School, responsible for overseeing the academic excellence, staff development, and spiritual growth of students in grades 6th to 12th. Reporting to the Head of School, the Secondary Principal plays an integral role in aligning the school’s academic programs with the institution's mission and vision under the direction of the Head of School. Holds a minimum of a master’s degree in the field of educational leadership. Has 5 years of administrative experience,

Key Responsibilities

· Educational Leadership:

o Uphold and advance the academic program for the high school and middles school, ensuring alignment with the school's mission and vision.

o Foster a culture of excellence and innovation in teaching and learning.

· Spiritual Guidance:

o Promote a Christ-centered educational environment, facilitating the integration of biblical principles within the curriculum and school activities.

o Provide spiritual leadership, encouraging the spiritual growth of students and faculty.

· Faculty and Staff Leadership:

o Recruit, retain, and develop a team of dedicated educators who share our mission and values.

o Evaluate faculty regularly, supporting their professional growth and ensuring consistency.

· Student Support:

o Monitor student progress and ensure the implementation of effective policies for student support.

o Promote a safe and secure learning environment for all students.

· Administrative Oversight:

o Oversee the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.

o Manage the budget for the secondary school effectively.

· Curriculum Development:

o Collaborate with curriculum development teams to enhance educational offerings.

o Continuously evaluate and improve the curriculum to align with modern educational standards.

o Monitor and oversee curriculum guides, scope and sequence, lessons plans in curriculum portal.

o Support and participate in ACSI accreditation on efforts as it relates to the secondary department.

Qualifications:

· Christian Faith:

· Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

· Adherence to Christian principles and values in both personal and professional life.

· Educational Background/Experience:

· Possess solid communication and public relations skills.

· Minimum of three years of teaching or administrative experience.

· Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead a diverse team of educators.

· Master's degree in education administration or Curriculum Development (preferred).

· Holds a State of Michigan Teacher certification (or similar qualification), with a State of Michigan Administration certification (preferred).

· Cultivate positive and effective relationships that foster trust and respect among all stakeholders.

· Apply rigorous logic and problem-solving skills to find effective solutions.

· Strong critical thinking abilities, making timely and sound judgments and decisions.
